Thank you for your plans to be a part of World Youth Day 2023!

Through funding from Catholic Foundation for Brooklyn and Queens, a limited number of scholarships are available to assist pilgrims with the cost of the trip.

Scholarship funds are strictly for those with a legitimate need, in which the pilgrim, after fundraising and local help, would otherwise not be able to afford the trip without the financial assistance. The scholarship is intended for pilgrims and not group leaders. The pilgrim must be travelling with a Diocese of Brooklyn group, be current on the first two payments to Peter's Way Tours and be an active member of a Brooklyn or Queens parish, as affirmed by the pastor. Applications cannot be submitted for all pilgrims in a particular group.  Scholarships may not be awarded to any pilgrim who is benefiting from a comp from the travel agent or a pilgrim who is being sponsored by the Diocese or other institution (ex. The Tablet, Net TV, St. John’s University, etc.). This form may also be used for pilgrims from the Seminary, Novitiate or Cathedral Prep.

Each pilgrim who receives assistance will be requested to write a paragraph or produce a 30-second video describing the World Youth Day Experience and how he or she will bring the effects of that experience to the home parish.

A template is included to list out the pilgrims from that parish/institution who need assistance.  Use 1 line per pilgrim.

Please complete and submit the form below no later than February 1, 2023.

Decisions will be communicated no later than March 1, 2023 to ensure timely final payment is made to Peter's Way Tours.
